Dr. Sam Zera’atian-nejad Davani, head of the Organ and Tissue Procurement Unit of the Iran University of Medical Sciences and the Department of Cardiac Surgery, Rasoul Akram Hospital, said “In the initial negotiations with a research unit in the United Kingdom, this new method has been used in cardiac surgery and heart transplantation, which was found helpful especially for some patients who are at risk for heart re-operation.
